Charity Shop

We held our first charity shop of the year in Dalbeattie from 19-21 April and are glad to say that we raised £540 for our funds.  We are very grateful to all who turned up to buy and to those who donated goods for us to sell.  In these difficult economic times we need every penny we can make to care for the cats and kittens in our area, and this will pay a lot of vets' bills!  thank you. Thanks also to those who gave up their time to serve in the shop - hope you enjoyed it!...

Dorothy Baron

It was with great regret that we recently heard of the death of Dorothy Baron of Gatehouse-of-Fleet after a long illness.  Dorothy was one of the founder members of the Branch in 1997, and a great supporter ever since.  She was a lovely lady, with a great sense of humour, and we will sorely miss her.  She was a great cat lover, and had two adored Siamese cats, one of which died a while ago, while Tilly had to be put to sleep a few months before Dorothy's death.
